The Power Hungry Hydra Chip is more than a tuner. It is a complete solution for unlocking performance on 7.3L Powerstroke engines. This chip gives users full control over tuning with access to a large library of calibrations. The Power Hungry Hydra Chip allows you to choose and load power levels that match your truck setup.
With HydraFlash software, you can program and reprogram your chip quickly. The software works on both Windows and Mac computers. As a result, users can easily manage tuning without complicated tools.
Hydra Chip Tuning for 7.3 Powerstroke
The Power Hungry Hydra Chip supports tuning for all 7.3L Powerstroke vehicles. It also works with 1994–1997 Navistar-equipped International vehicles. This wide compatibility makes it a flexible tuning solution.
For Navistar applications, vehicles with PCM mounted through the firewall can use this chip. Vehicles with PCM mounted on the side of the engine require the Orion Reflash System.
Switch on the Fly Performance Tuning
This chip includes a two-digit removable display switch. The switch allows users to change tunes while driving. This SWITCH-ON-THE-FLY feature makes it easy to adjust performance for towing, daily driving, or higher power.
The Hydra Chip includes seventeen selectable positions. These include Module Bypass [00] and No Start [nS]. The remaining positions can be programmed with custom calibrations.
Easy Programming with HydraFlash Software
HydraFlash software allows quick programming of the chip. Users can load calibrations in seconds. In addition, the software supports creating a printable calibration list for reference.
An optional USB extension cable allows programming while the chip remains installed. This feature eliminates the need to remove the chip for updates.
Access to Extensive Calibration Library
The Power Hungry Hydra Chip includes free access to a large library of calibrations for stock trucks. Users can select different power levels and configurations.
Additional options include modified valve body calibrations and injector tuning for supported setups. These options help tailor performance to specific builds.

Note: This product is designed for the 1994½ to 2003 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel trucks. It will not work on earlier 7.3L IDI powered trucks, including the early 1994 “Turbo Diesel” IDI.
