The Heads Up kits from Sinister Diesel are designed to give Duramax engines needed strength to handle additional horse power and torque without engine damage. We assemble each kit with a head stud set, the correct head gaskets, and all associated gaskets and seals for your engine so that you can avoid the most common issues that come along with engine modification. From fasteners to gaskets, we have you covered with a custom tailored solution that is cheap insurance against possible engine failure.

Complete Duramax Head Stud and Gasket Kits

This kit is intended to fit the 2011-2015 Duramax LML engine and includes the following components:

• ARP Head Stud Kit (ARP2000)
• Grade C MLS Head Gaskets
• Cylinder Head Gasket Kit

ARP cold-forges their head studs for molecular uniformity then heat-treats them for strength before the threads are cut. This produces a head stud that surpasses the factory head bolts with a far superior clamp load rating of 220,000 psi. Their strength protects against fretting between the block and the head, and helps insure the integrity of the seal around the combustion chamber. Each set of head studs comes matched with nuts and hardened washers for even distribution of clamping force and accurate torque readings.

Each kit also includes MLS head gaskets. These Grade C gaskets are 1.05mm thick to compensate for material lost during mandatory resurfacing of the Duramax cylinder head. Each head gasket is manufactured to OEM specifications from multi-layered spring steel. Gaskets seal with a stamped bead around each combustion chamber to increase overall clamping pressure and also with a micro-polymer seal around each oil and water passage to prevent leaks due to slight imperfections in the surface of the head or block.

You’ll also receive a complete set of required gaskets for every engine component that attaches to the cylinder head including gaskets for the exhaust manifold, up pipe, upper and lower valve cover, along with valve cover grommets, valve seals, and turbo drain seals.
