The S&B 10-1040 Replacement Fuel Tank is an after-axle tank designed for Ford Powerstroke cab and chassis trucks, offering a durable and reliable alternative to the factory fuel tank.
This tank is built as a direct replacement for the OEM after-axle tank, installing in the factory location with no cutting or drilling required. It reuses the factory sending unit, ensuring accurate fuel level readings and seamless integration with the truck’s existing system.
One of the primary benefits of the 10-1040 is eliminating the common failure found in factory steel tanks. Over time, OEM tanks can delaminate internally, sending contaminants through the fuel system and causing costly damage. S&B addresses this issue by using crosslinked polyethylene, a material that will not rust, corrode, or delaminate.
The tank maintains factory ground clearance and is fully compatible with OEM skid plates, gooseneck hitches, and fifth wheel setups. Its design allows for straightforward installation while improving long-term reliability.
