Fleece SureFlo® Performance Sending Unit (FPE-SF-CUMM-0304) for 2003–2004 Cummins 5.9L

The Fleece SureFlo Sending Unit provides a clean solution for running aftermarket lift pumps on 2003–2004 Cummins 5.9L trucks. The Fleece SureFlo Sending Unit FPE-SF-CUMM-0304 installs directly in the factory sending unit location. Because of this design, you can upgrade your fuel system without drilling the fuel tank.

Many aftermarket fuel systems require a draw straw or sump. However, those setups often cause the well-known ¼ tank fuel issue. When the fuel level drops, the pump may pull air instead of fuel. As a result, cavitation can occur and fuel delivery becomes inconsistent.

The Fleece SureFlo Sending Unit solves this problem by pulling fuel from the bucket assembly at the base of the sending unit. In addition, the system returns fuel to the same bucket assembly. Because of this setup, the lift pump receives a steady fuel supply even when the tank level drops.

The bucket assembly also uses one-way check valves. These valves allow fuel to flow into the reservoir when fuel levels are low. Therefore, the pump continues drawing fuel instead of air.

In addition, the Fleece SureFlo Sending Unit FPE-SF-CUMM-0304 works well for trucks that originally did not include an in-tank pump. It can replace a faulty fuel level sender while supporting aftermarket fuel system upgrades.

Application Notes

SureFlo sending units do not include a fuel pump and are designed for trucks running an externally mounted aftermarket lift pump.

Reference fitment data for compatibility with Titan and S&B aftermarket fuel tanks.

The SureFlo float arm will be positioned in the opposite direction of the factory sending unit.
