The Fleece Performance FPE-CUMM-IHK-0724 intake and grid heater kit is designed to eliminate one of the most common and dangerous failure points on the 6.7L Cummins platform. This complete upgrade replaces the factory grid heater and intake horn assembly with a high-flow intake system and durable coil-style heating element.

Because the factory grid heater nut can loosen and enter the engine, many Cummins owners upgrade this system before a catastrophic failure occurs.

Eliminates the Factory Grid Heater Nut Failure

The OEM grid heater uses a retained nut design that can fail over time. If the nut enters the engine, severe internal damage can occur.

The FPE-CUMM-IHK-0724 eliminates that risk by replacing the factory setup with a safer and more durable heating element design.

Improved Airflow and Throttle Response

This kit includes a precision-machined cast aluminum intake horn and high-flow intake plate. As a result, intake restriction decreases and airflow improves.

In addition, the engine responds quicker under throttle input and operates more efficiently.

High-Flow Coil Heater Design

Instead of using the OEM-style heater assembly, this system uses a robust high-flow coil heater element. Because of that, airflow remains less restricted while maintaining cold weather functionality.

The standard heater uses a 700W element optimized for efficient heating and reliable cold starts.

Cold Weather Performance

For customers operating in extremely cold climates, Fleece offers an optional secondary heater kit. Together, both heating elements provide proven cold weather starting capability down to -35°C.

In addition, the lower overall wattage reduces strain on the factory grid heater relay compared to other systems.

Complete Installation Kit

The FPE-CUMM-IHK-0724 includes all required hardware and gaskets for installation. Therefore, there is no need to source additional seals or fittings separately.
