King Pintop Shocks for Lifted Ford Super Duty Trucks

The Carli Ford Super Duty King Pintop 2.5 Shock Package CS-FPT25SPKG-45-05 gives lifted Ford F-250 and F-350 diesel trucks better ride control on and off the road. The Pintop package uses Carli-tuned King 2.5-inch remote-reservoir shocks at all four corners.

The larger 2.5-inch shocks provide 55 percent more piston surface area than a 2.0-inch shock. Therefore, Carli can better control how the shocks react to bumps, rough roads, and off-road terrain. At the same time, the Pintop maintains the road manners needed for a daily-driven Super Duty.

Carli Tunes These King 2.5-Inch Shocks

Carli developed its own custom pistons for these King shocks. First, Carli set the base flow rates specifically for the heavy Ford Super Duty platform. Then, Carli tuned the shocks around those pistons based on real-world ride feel.

As a result, the Pintop package combines King shock hardware with Carli’s Super Duty-specific tuning. Additionally, the remote reservoirs increase the shock system’s oil capacity.

Strong 17-4 Stainless Steel Shock Shafts

Carli machines and polishes each shock shaft from a solid piece of 17-4 stainless steel. Therefore, these shafts do not depend on an outer coating that can wear away over time.

Additionally, weather cannot damage the stainless shafts like it can a coated surface. If a small chip develops, you can smooth its edges with emery cloth. As a result, you can help prevent the damaged area from harming the seal housing.

Better Ride Control On and Off the Road

Carli designed the Pintop as a jack-of-all-trades shock package. For example, it adds off-road ability without giving up the street manners that matter during normal driving.

At the same time, the larger shocks provide the control needed for the weight of a Super Duty. Therefore, the Pintop works well for owners who use their trucks for more than one purpose.

King fills these shocks with oil rated down to -55 degrees Fahrenheit. However, King uses plated steel shock bodies. Because of this, Carli recommends wrapping the shocks in 3M when they face wet weather for long periods. The wrap creates a replaceable moisture barrier around the shock bodies.

Check Your Carli Lift Height Before Ordering

Lift height changes based on the model year. Therefore, confirm your truck’s Carli suspension setup before ordering this shock package.

For 2005-2019 Ford F-250 and F-350 4×4 diesel trucks, Carli specifies this package for its 4.5-inch lift. However, 2020 and newer F-250 and F-350 4×4 diesel trucks require Carli’s 5.5-inch lift for this shock package.
