Billet Timing Front Cover for Cummins 12 Valve P-Pump Engines
The Keating Machine 12V Pocketed Billet Timing Front Cover upgrades 1994–1998 Cummins 5.9L 12-valve engines that run P-pump (P7100) fueling systems. Keating machines this cover from premium billet aluminum to replace the factory stamped steel cover with a stronger and more precise component built for performance use.
The pocketed design creates the clearance required for P-pump applications and modified fueling setups. This added space supports performance builds, P-pump conversions, and competition engines that demand additional front-cover room. Despite the added clearance, the cover retains compatibility with the factory gear housing, OEM RPM sensor, belt routing, and fan assembly.
Billet construction improves rigidity and resists flex under heat and vibration. This helps maintain proper alignment during high-RPM operation and extended use. The machined sealing surfaces provide consistent sealing performance compared to factory covers.
Keating includes stainless steel mounting hardware for corrosion resistance and long-term serviceability. A crank seal adapter ring is also included to support proper sealing (crank seal sold separately). The kit also includes a block-off plate for applications not using a Waterman mechanical fuel pump.
This billet timing front cover installs as a direct bolt-on replacement and delivers the strength, clearance, and reliability required for demanding Cummins 12-valve applications.
