Industrial Injection New XP500 Series Duramax 6.6L CP3 XP500D
High-Flow CP3 Fuel Pump for Duramax Racing Applications
The Industrial Injection New XP500 Series Duramax 6.6L CP3 XP500D expands the company’s XP line of high-flow CP3 fuel pumps. Industrial Injection first introduced the XP CP3 series in 2015 with a focus on strong fuel flow and efficient single-pump performance. Now, the XP500D continues that development with larger components designed for serious Duramax racing applications.
Industrial Injection builds the XP500D with an 11.2mm shaft, 9mm plungers, and an advanced high-flow gear pump. Additionally, DLC-coated internal components help support performance and durability under demanding racing conditions.
Industrial Injection XP500D Fuel Flow
High-performance Duramax engines need enough fuel flow to support increased power. Therefore, Industrial Injection designed the XP500D to deliver increased flow and efficiency from a single CP3 pump.
The 11.2mm shaft provides a strong foundation for the pump. Meanwhile, the 9mm plungers help deliver the fuel volume required by high-performance diesel engines. Additionally, the high-flow gear pump supports the increased fuel demands of the XP500D.

11.2mm Shaft and 9mm Plungers
Industrial Injection equips the XP500D with an 11.2mm shaft and robust 9mm plungers. Together, these components support the increased fuel flow needed for demanding Duramax racing builds.
In addition, Industrial Injection uses an advanced high-flow gear pump. As a result, the XP500D combines several upgraded components into a single CP3 designed for serious diesel performance.
DLC-Coated Internal Components
Industrial Injection uses DLC-coated internal components in the XP500D. These parts help support the pump’s focus on both performance and reliability.
Additionally, the XP500D builds on Industrial Injection’s experience with the XP CP3 line. Therefore, the pump provides Duramax racers with another high-flow option within the company’s single CP3 lineup.
290 GPH Lift Pump Required
The XP500D requires enough low-pressure fuel supply to support its high-flow design. Therefore, Industrial Injection specifies a lift pump capable of 290 GPH.
Customers should confirm their existing fuel system can meet this requirement before installing the XP500D. As a result, the CP3 receives the fuel supply Industrial Injection requires for proper operation.
Racing Applications Only
Industrial Injection restricts the XP500D to racing applications. Additionally, the company requires proof that the pump will go on a racing-only vehicle before shipment.
After purchase, customers must provide photo proof of the race vehicle. Therefore, buyers should confirm that their application qualifies before ordering the XP500D.
Important Core Return Information
Industrial Injection provides two options when purchasing a product with a core requirement. First, customers can pay the core charge and receive the new pump without waiting for Industrial Injection to receive the old unit. Then, Industrial Injection refunds the applicable core charge after the returned core passes inspection.
Alternatively, customers can send the core before Industrial Injection ships the purchased pump. However, this method can delay shipment, and inventory may change while the company waits for the core.
For full core credit, Industrial Injection requires the core within 90 days of receiving the order. Customers must also remove all fittings, drain the fuel and oil, and securely package the unit. Additionally, damaged or incomplete cores may receive reduced credit, while seized, cracked, fire-damaged, heavily damaged, or late cores may receive no credit.
