The Fleece SureFlo Sending Unit FPE-SF-FMC-1116-SB solves common fuel delivery problems when running an aftermarket lift pump on a 2011-2016 Powerstroke 6.7L. Many aftermarket pumps mount external to the fuel tank. Because of this, you may need a draw straw or you may need to drill the fuel tank for a sump. However, both options can create problems such as the common ¼ tank issue that causes cavitation when the pump pulls air into the fuel system.
Fleece SureFlo Sending Unit Solution
The Fleece SureFlo Sending Unit FPE-SF-FMC-1116-SB works with aftermarket lift pumps and installs directly into the stock sending unit location. It uses factory style quick disconnects that connect to the stock fuel lines at the tank. As a result, installation remains clean and does not require cutting or drilling the fuel tank.
The SureFlo system draws fuel from, and returns fuel to, the bucket assembly at the base of the unit. Because of this design, the pump pulls fuel instead of air. This also eliminates the common ¼ tank problem.
SureFlo Bucket Fuel Delivery Design
The SureFlo bucket includes one way check valves. These valves allow fuel to flow into the bucket more easily when fuel levels are low. As a result, fuel continues flowing to the pump even when the tank level drops.
The SureFlo performance sending unit also works well for 2011-2016 Ford trucks that need to repair a malfunctioning level sender. In addition, it works well for trucks that want to run custom fuel lines directly to the tank.

PROBLEM: If you are running an aftermarket pump that is mounted external of the fuel tank, you will need to install a draw straw or drill your fuel tank to accommodate a sump. Each of these has some pretty significant drawbacks including the ¼ tank issues that result in cavitation of the pump when you draw air into the fuel system.
SOLUTION: SureFlo performance sending units are designed to work with aftermarket lift pumps and fit directly into your stock sending unit location. It features factory style quick disconnects to adapt your stock fuel lines at the tank, giving you the cleanest installation available, and requiring no cutting or drilling of the tank. SureFlo works by drawing fuel from, and returning fuel to, the bucket assembly at the base of the unit. This ensures you are always drawing fuel into your pump and not drawing air into the fuel system as well as eliminates the dreaded ¼ tank problems. The SureFlo bucket also incorporates one way check valves to allow fuel to easily flow in at lower levels.
