Edge Evolution CTS3 L5P Duramax Tuner and Monitor
The Edge Evolution CTS3 delivers advanced tuning and monitoring for 2017–2023 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks equipped with the 6.6L L5P Duramax. This device combines flash tuning, real-time monitoring, and diagnostic tools into one system. As a result, L5P Duramax owners gain improved horsepower, stronger towing performance, and detailed engine data.
The kit includes the Edge Locksmith module, which unlocks the factory ECM through the OBDII port. Once unlocked, drivers can install emissions-friendly performance calibrations directly from the device. These calibrations support daily driving, towing, fuel economy, and performance use. After flashing the calibration, drivers can unplug the tool and enjoy reliable power gains.
Power Gains and Tuning Levels
This system delivers significant performance improvements for the L5P Duramax platform. Depending on the selected tune level, power gains can reach up to 150 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque at peak RPM.
Drivers can choose from several tuning levels designed for different driving conditions.
Economy tune provides up to 75 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque
Tow tune provides up to 100 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque
Performance tune provides up to 125 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque
Extreme tune provides up to 150 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque
These tuning options improve throttle response and provide stronger pulling power. As a result, towing and heavy-load driving become smoother and more controlled.
Advanced Monitoring and Display
The CTS3 monitor features a large 5-inch high-resolution touchscreen display. This screen provides real-time vehicle data and customizable gauge layouts. Drivers can monitor important parameters while driving.
The monitor displays information such as soot levels, miles since the last regeneration cycle, exhaust gas temperatures, boost pressure, and fluid temperatures. Therefore, drivers can track engine performance and identify potential issues before they become serious problems.
The touchscreen interface also allows drivers to swipe between monitoring screens quickly. In addition, the device supports performance data logging for reviewing engine performance after a run.
Transmission Tuning and Vehicle Controls
The Evolution CTS3 also supports advanced transmission tuning features. The system includes TCM calibration through OBDII flashing. This feature improves shift behavior and drivability on trucks equipped with compatible transmissions.

Installation and Compatibility
Installation remains quick and straightforward. The device connects directly to the OBDII port and mounts inside the cab for easy viewing. The touchscreen monitor provides a modern digital gauge system inside the vehicle.
A PC with the Edge Update Agent software is required to complete the tuning process. The device can unlock and tune only one vehicle. Once the ECM unlock occurs, the device becomes locked to that VIN. Although drivers can return the truck to the factory calibration, the unlock process cannot be reversed.
The calibrations maintain factory emissions systems and support DPF operation. However, the device does not support the removal of emissions equipment.
