The Keating Machine 12 Valve Billet Timing Front Cover (Black Anodized with 12AN Port) is a high-strength, performance-focused replacement for the factory stamped steel timing cover used on 1994–2002 Cummins 5.9L 12-valve engines. CNC-machined from solid billet aluminum, this cover delivers improved rigidity, precise alignment, and long-term sealing reliability under demanding conditions.

Keating Machine finishes this cover in a deep black anodizing to enhance corrosion resistance while providing a clean, modern appearance. As a result, the billet construction eliminates flex and sealing inconsistencies commonly associated with OEM steel covers, especially in high-boost or high-load applications.

Integrated 12AN Vent Port

This configuration includes black anodized cover plates for a fully uniform finish and features an integrated –12AN port in the P-pump cover plate. This port supports high-flow crankcase ventilation and allows routing to catch cans or custom breather systems.

Because of this, the cover works exceptionally well in high-boost, competition, or performance builds where factory crankcase ventilation may become restrictive.

Fitment & Component Compatibility

The timing cover maintains compatibility with key OEM components, including the factory RPM sensor, gear housing, belt drive system, crank dampener, and mechanical fan assembly. It also supports aftermarket mechanical fuel supply pumps, such as Waterman-style units.

Keating Machine includes stainless steel mounting hardware and a block-off plate for unused auxiliary pump locations. A crank seal is required for installation and is sold separately.
