For 1994-2003 Powerstroke diesel engines, a custom-programmed chip is required to transition from split-shot to single-shot injection, improving horsepower (up to 650 hp) and fuel efficiency. These hybrid injectors feature new nozzles, tungsten-coated plungers, and barrels. Larger 100% or 200% oversized nozzles enhance fuel delivery, with the 100% nozzle producing slightly less smoke and power than the 200%. They operate with stock high-pressure oil, reducing the need for an upgraded HPOP.
