Overview
The Keating Machine 12-Valve Billet Timing Front Cover with 12AN Port is a premium upgrade for 1994–2002 Cummins 5.9L 12-valve engines using the later front gear housing. Keating Machine CNC-machines this cover from high-grade billet aluminum, which significantly increases rigidity, improves sealing, and enhances long-term durability compared to the factory stamped steel cover.
Integrated 12AN Vent Port
This configuration includes a –12AN male port integrated into the P-pump cover plate. As a result, it provides a high-flow option for crankcase ventilation, catch-can systems, or custom breather routing. This design works especially well for high-boost, performance, and competition builds where factory crankcase ventilation can become restrictive.
Factory Compatibility
Despite the added ventilation capability, this timing cover maintains full compatibility with factory components. It supports the OEM RPM sensor, stock front gear housing, mechanical fan, crank dampener, and belt drive system. In addition, it allows the use of aftermarket mechanical fuel supply pumps, including Waterman-style units.
Sealing & Hardware
Keating Machine machines all sealing surfaces precisely to reduce oil seepage caused by flex and heat cycling. Stainless steel mounting hardware is included to resist corrosion and maintain consistent clamping force. A block-off plate is also supplied for applications not using a mechanical fuel pump. A front crank seal is required for installation and is sold separately.
