The Keating Machine 12 Valve Billet Timing Front Cover with –12AN port upgrades 1989–1993 Cummins 5.9L 12-valve engines used in first-generation applications. Keating machines this cover from high-quality billet aluminum to replace the factory stamped steel cover with a stronger and more precise component built for performance use.
This version features an integrated –12AN male port installed in the P-pump cover plate. The port supports high-flow crankcase ventilation, catch-can systems, and custom breather routing. This design improves pressure control in performance and high-boost engines where factory ventilation systems often fall short. An O-ringed sealing surface ensures a leak-free connection under heat and vibration.
The billet cover maintains compatibility with the OEM gear housing, RPM sensor pickup, factory mechanical fan, crankshaft dampener, and belt drive system. Precision machining ensures proper alignment while reducing flex and distortion during extended operation.
Keating includes stainless steel mounting hardware for corrosion resistance and long-term serviceability. Keating supplies a Waterman block-off plate for applications that do not use a mechanical fuel pump. Installation requires a crank seal, which is sold separately.
This billet timing front cover installs as a direct bolt-on replacement. It delivers improved durability, reliable sealing, and increased ventilation capacity for first-generation Cummins performance builds.
